OceanBlue Omega and 4ocean Announce An Ocean Plastic Neutral Partnership

The partnership will offset more than 50,000 pounds of plastic from oceans, rivers, and coastlines around the world.

MIAMI, FL, March 3, 2025 – Today, OceanBlue LLC, (OceanBlue Omega) announces an industry-leading plastic offset program with 4ocean as part of their enduring pursuit to keep the OceanBlue. The partnership will offset more than 50, 000 pounds of plastic from OceanBlue packaging and fund community cleanup efforts in Indonesia.

About 40 million metric tons of plastic waste is produced each year, according to the UN Environmental Programme, with global production of primary plastic forecasted to reach 1,100 million metric tons by 2050. Approximately 36% of all plastics produced are used in packaging, including single-use plastic products for the health and wellness industry —85% of which ends up in landfills or as unregulated waste.

OceanBlue’s mission is to provide potent, pure and palatably priced Omega-3s to anyone with a body. Sounds simple enough—but the reality is, this lofty pursuit is impossible if our oceans aren’t protected. Conserving marine ecosystems isn’t just a cause for OceanBlue—it’s a responsibility that allows them to keep delivering peerless omega-3 nutrition to Americans—90% of whom aren’t hitting the daily recommendation of 500mg.

4ocean is a premier ocean cleanup company dedicated to ending the ocean plastic crisis. Since 2017, its professional, full-time captains and crews have removed more than 40 million pounds of plastic waste and other man-made debris from the world’s oceans, rivers, and coastlines

“Plastic neutrality is funding impactful cleanups all around the world,” says Schulze. “I hope our partnership with OceanBlue Omega inspires other companies to implement a sustainability program and get involved. Together, we can create lasting change that protects our oceans for generations to come.”

4ocean launched its corporate partnership program in 2022 to help forward-thinking brands transition to the circular economy—a regenerative economic system designed to minimize waste, maximize resource efficiency, and promote sustainability by designing products, processes, and business models that make it possible for brands to use their resources in a continuous loop without degradation or loss of value.

Through its corporate partnerships program, 4ocean helps brands calculate the total amount of plastic they produce as a business or for a specific product or product line. The brand then purchases 4ocean Plastic Credits to fund the removal of an equal or greater amount of plastic waste from the world’s oceans, rivers, and coastlines.

“Single-use plastic bottles are how OceanBlue ensures the quality and safety of our supplements. These bottles are recyclable—however, we know they often end up in landfill. This partnership with 4ocean allows us to have a direct 1:1 offset to the plastic waste generated from OceanBlue, even if our customers don't choose to recycle.” — Dan Wiley, President, OceanBlue Omega.

By partnering with 4ocean to support the clean ocean movement, OceanBlue Omega joins other top brands such as SC Johnson, Mount Gay Rum, HP, and U.S. Polo Assn. Together, 4ocean and its Plastic Neutral Partners will remove millions of pounds of plastic from waterways all around the world and create a framework for sustainability that other brands can follow.

"Cleaning the ocean is critical to fighting plastic pollution, but it's only part of the solution," says Alex Schulze, co-founder and CEO of 4ocean. "To truly make a difference, we need to tackle the root cause of ocean plastic and stop it at the source."
